DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Director of Sales

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handling inquires according to all Longwood standards (SOPs)
  • Greeting all business opportunities with enthusiasm and drive to sell
  • Exemplify excellent negotiating skills to close on business
  • Reaching and exceeding quarterly sales goals and solicitation goals
  • Focus on increasing revenues, generating leads through referrals, and conducting venue tours
  • Strategically negotiating event minimum and site fee concept to maximize revenues
  • Understanding value of all of our products and services
  • The ability to build long lasting business relationships with clients and vendors
  • Proactively sells all Longwood venues
  • Attend industry networking events
  • Tour/Thoroughly understand competitive set
  • Maintain accurate client files and bookings through Longwood Standard software programs
  • Follow all Longwood Brand Standards (SOPs) for tours and collateral usage
  • Solid understanding of growing key accounts, entertaining and prospecting

  • Minimum 3 years of catering sales experience in a hotel, convention or private event venue with at least 3000 sqft of function space
  • Experience in Selling over 2 Million in annual revenues
  • Experience in Selling multiple Market segments - weddings, nonprofit and corporate events

  • Proficient in Computer skills - Microsoft Office
  • Require availability to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, written & verbal communication skills
  • Collaborate with all departments and foster team environment
