The Opportunity

The Assistant Catering Manager serves as part of the Catering team, responsible for assisting with all catered events, hospitality tents, and the operation and service of our all-inclusive areas, suite clubs and terraces. Must possess a positive, can-do attitude, be detail-oriented, and possess a well-rounded knowledge of the food service industry. Must maintain professionalism at all times, and work with others in a cooperative manner, even while working under pressure. Willing to engage actively in the physical work of the hospitality service operation.

  • Works closely with Catering Manager to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Customer service responsibilities include speaking directly with the customer regarding their order and any follow up
  • Assists with booking, set-up/tear down and full execution of catered events
  • Maintains established food presentation and service standards; providing ongoing enhancement to these based upon current trends in the catering industry
  • Maintains an organized system of comprehensive record keeping for each catered event, stadium event day, monthly inventory and requisitions
  • Maintains appropriate levels of related catering supplies and decorations, which are in keeping with the seasons and/or are trend specific
  • Assists with recruitment for hourly associates including: reviewing job descriptions, reviewing resumes, pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making job offers
  • Assists with other catering tasks as assigned.

The Assistant Catering Manager position involves working with standard office equipment and technology along with physical work within a commercial kitchen environment. Responsibilities include moving inventory, product, carts, tables, etc. as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment. Environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures. Must be able to tolerate standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting frequently, along with lifting up to 50 lbs. May require extended working hours at times.

We are seeking a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Previous experience with restaurant or banquet operations, guest service, recruiting, and training. Familiar with the hospitality or entertainment industry. Strong communication, organizational skills and customer service skills. Ability to analyze data and make decisions. Regular use of technology including email, MS Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn catering software
