  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the park and its procedures, specifically the Food and Beverage Division.
  • Non-park supervisory/management experience and/or Park Food services experience as a line associate preferred.
  • Financial management experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills, communication skills and excellent math skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

  • Train, direct, evaluate, and discipline staff with appropriate documentation.
  • Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from park guests and associates.
  • Learn and use clear and concise specific lines of communication between management, associates and other divisions.
  • Contact and follow-up with Food & Beverage Associates who walk out or stop reporting.
  • Work with Personnel Supervisors to ensure staffing needs for assigned location are met and in compliance with Minor Labor Laws.
  • Take steps to ensure that subordinates are trained in all facets of the operation such as service procedure, production flow, equipment usage and cleaning.
  • Responsible for maintaining labor and cost of sales budget requirements by continuously evaluating and adjusting to the business needs.
  • May be required to attend Team Leader meetings and communicate information to their Assistant Supervisor and counterparts.
  • Monitor that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Handle and assists in any emergency situation.
  • Provide associates with necessary information and tools to effectively do their jobs.
  • Train and evaluate job performance of Assistant Team Leaders and make necessary performance recommendations.
  • Give verbal direction and assistance to guests.
  • Ensure that all work, storage, and service areas are cleaned and meet local and state sanitation guidelines.
  • Complete administrative paperwork (i.e. time cards/TAS, labor reports, evaluations, and associate file documents) as required by division.
  • Oversee cash control in the stand and with Resale Loss Prevention to maintain accurate cash records and decrease register variance.
  • Complete and submit 10th of a case and daily inventory sheets.
  • Move throughout entire area of responsibility regularly to maintain awareness of total operation.
  • Learn, understand and demonstrate proficiency in operational tasks, service/production flow, equipment cleaning and usage, and menu items in the location.
  • Create incentives and motivational techniques for associates.
  • Execute attendance schedules and assign daily tasks schedules prepared by Assistant Supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the location(s) in area.
  • Based on performance may be assigned to cover shifts for placed Team Leaders.
  • Smile and maintain eye contact with every guest.
  • Takes steps to insure that associates are trained on all facets of the operation including guest service procedures, production flow, equipment usage and cleaning.
  • Prepares daily assignment schedules (break sheets) and maintains appropriate stock levels with periodical inventories.
  • Under the supervision of an Area Manager, handles any disciplining of associates.
  • Monitors to ensure all safety procedures are followed at the location.
  • Handles and/or assists in any emergency situation that may occur.
  • Provides associates with the necessary information and tools to effectively do their jobs.
  • Assist in the evaluating job performance of associates and makes necessary recommendations.
  • Gives verbal direction and assistance to guests to ensure quality services is given.
  • Insures that all work, guest storage and service areas are cleaned in a timely manner and maintain an A sanitation grade.
  • Notifies a Full Time Area Manager of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to insure safe and efficient operation.
  • Controls cost associated with the location, such as food cost, payroll cost, general supplies, and cleaning supplies through a weekly inventory.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Ability to work with other people.
  • Good judgement.
  • Work at locations other than assigned location when needed.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
