Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:?Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with all functions booked. Coordinate and supervise the execution of all banquet functions to ensure clients??? specifications are adhered to and that the banquets/events run smoothly and efficiently. ?Maintain and organize all equipment related to Catering including but not exclusive to tables, chairs, flatware, servingware, glassware, linen, coffee equipment. Enforce company's standards, policies and procedures with banquet staff. Motivate banquet staff and maintain a cohesive team. ?Ensure security and confidentiality of guest information.?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIORITIES?Meet each shift with Banquet Manager to plan and coordinate efforts for scheduled banquets for the day and upcoming banquets?Organize all equipment into it???s labeled area daily and ongoing.Supervise stewarding team and dish area ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary place to work.Schedule stewards according to business levels.Schedule set up team according to business levels.Inventory supplies and equipment monthly and inform Catering Manager of needs.Move equipment to a designated area with each set of equipment labeled for the event it is designatedEnsure all rooms are set proper with all supplies and linen correct and according to BEOsAttend twice weekly BEO meetingOrder chemicals and provide training for all staff on proper use of such.Inspect each function room prior to scheduled event to ensure room setup, menu, and schedule of events conform to function sheet and Rh standardsPrioritize and delegate set up team duties to maximize efficiency, utilizing side work and assignment tools, have such assignments posted before team arrive in pre-designated areaCheck carpets/curtains/vents/walls/chairs/tables and windows are clean and free of any marks or stainsComplete banquet room walk throughReport any damages, maintenance problems, deep cleaning issues or safety hazards to the Banquet ManagerReview, and have a thorough understanding of, all banquet event information to coordinate scheduled events.Ensure all sets adhere to Roundhouse picture standardsRequisition or obtain equipment and supplies needed for each function. ?Ensure that they correspond to client???s specifications, where applicableCoordinate with Banquet Manager to ensure adequate staff are scheduled for each function?Continually direct and assist banquet staff during the entire event to ensure that all details are carried out according to the client???s specifications.Supervise cleanup and breakdown of function after its completion; account for all equipment and supplies; and ensure their return to storage areaREQUIRED COMPETENCIES:?Ability to:Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding in person and by telephone.Provide legible communicationBasic computer skillsCompute basic mathematical calculationsRemain calm under pressure, making sound and logical decisions quickly.Possess knowledge of food production and service and have the ability to perform all positions in banquet operations in order to supervise, direct, and train all banquet personnel.Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.Focus attention on detailsWarm, friendly and welcoming personality?MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:?High school graduate.Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.Two years??? experience as a server, dining room manager or host.?PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:?Food handling certificateSome collegePrevious experience in the Catering IndustryCertification of previous training in liquor, wine and food serviceKnowledge of Computerized P.O.S. systems, preferably AlohaPrevious guest relations trainingKnowledge of reservation systemKnowledge of events management program
