Kent Corporation in Muscatine, Iowa has an opening for a Director, Marketing will direct and execute all marketing activity of branded products sold through broker, distributor, and direct sales. This includes new product introductions and overseeing the development of potential new products/markets outside the United States.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Responsible for all annual Marketing activities, including but not limited to:• Goal setting (market share, segment penetration, brand awareness, etc.)• Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing group on analysis, prioritization and resulting go to market strategies for International business• Defining annual International marketing initiatives and activities required for successful execution• Action plans for Pricing, Product Requirements, Product Placement and Promotion, including goals, sequencing and timelines in International markets• Execution of International Marketing action plans, including resource needs for sales or customer support• Formulate and oversee international marketing budget and manage and track all marketing expenditures• Manage all facets of Third Party resourcing and activities for International marketing• Lead new product development for International marketing, including collaborating with Business Unit and Corporate Marketing, Business Unit R&D and Enterprise Innovation• Lead Market Research for International marketing, including collaborating with Business Unit and Corporate Marketing and Enterprise Innovation, for resource planning, budgeting and other Market Research activities• Perform competitive analysis on key Kent Corporation competitors in International markets for utilization in Strategic and Annual Market Planning, and develop communication process for sharing insights with sales force and other Kent Corporation personnel• Work with Sales Management to ensure that brand communication across product portfolio is consistent coordinating with business unit when applicableThe above statements cover what are generally believed to be the principal and essential functions of this job. General Pre-Requisites, Attributes & Duties:• Master's in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing focus• Eight to ten years of progressive marketing experience; International Marketing experience is a must• Experience in development of advertising, new product and media plans, working with sales and trade• Responsible for marketing with significant budgets• Strong communication and negotiating skills• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
