Weve enlisted Proprietors LLC(Death & Co, Nitecap, Lost Hours) and AAMP Studio to design the cocktail bar, and now were looking for the right person to run it and shape its evolution. We will offer plenty of support, but there's also a lot of autonomy in the role.Well be opening in Mid November and are looking to hire quickly.Job Description:Take the lead role in overseeing daily bar operations; partner with the circuit beverage manager and home office on financial and marketing initiatives; create an environment where staff is challenged and supported so they may flourish.Job Expectations:1. Partner with circuit Beverage Manager, Proprietors LLC, to open the cocktail bar, including assisting with setting up new vendors, initial ordering and hiring for all bar positions.2. Work a mix of daytime administrative shifts and evening service shifts including weekends and holidays.3. Create weekly schedule for bar staff that adheres to company policies and local labor laws.4. Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing beverage and service offerings; cultivate relationships with preferred patrons; maintain good community relations5. Implement Company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP); evaluate and improve such policies and SOP.6. Quality Control: With the assistance of, Circuit Beverage Director and Proprietors LLC, oversee and maintain quality standards of preparation and service for beverage offerings.7. Bar Organization and Cleanliness: oversee organizational and cleanliness systems and standards for all bar and beverage related back-of-house areas.8. Manage online profiles and reviews (e.g. yelp, google)9. Use key result indicators and metrics to drive meaningful changes in behaviors and business resultsa. Builds competencies in using KRIs (weekly business review, Gross Margins, Product Mix Inventory Variances Control, etc)10. Beverage Inventory: maintain ordering and inventory system for all spirits, wines, beers, and dry goods related to beverage service. Order and maintain a responsible level of beverage inventorywithin the defined budget of the Company, while not unnecessarily exceeding expected volume for each week.11. Maintain effective, respectful communication with bar staff.12. Ongoing Staff Selection: hire, train and promote staff to ensure all staffing levels are adequate.13. Organize ongoing education for bar staff.14. Staff Oversight: In conjunction with Food and Beverage Manager, oversee bar staff, including staff scheduling, beverage execution, uniform maintenance, hospitality standards, service standards, and general accordance with Company policy.15. Partner with marketing to communicate daily offerings and specials.16. Work with marketing to coordinate and execute on-site and off-site marketing initiatives as needed including photoshoots, menu-launches, and community outreach.17. Manage and maintain current beer and wine lists that fit programming direction and cost goals.18. Participate in meetings on site as well as circuit-wide food and beverage calls.Requirements:1. 2+ years experience in a similar management role2. 1-3 years bartending experience in a high-quality cocktail bar.3. Meaningful experience in work environments that promote personal excellence, professionaldiscipline, and best of class business competencies4. Good written and verbal communication skills.5. Understanding of basic health and safety requirements and other governing laws and relatedpolicies.6. Demonstrated ability to recruit and select employees, through the use of performancemanagement tools and processes that meet the organizations technical skills and cultural fitrequirements.7. Experience in an environment requiring work on multiple tasks simultaneously; re-prioritization of work and the ability to adapt quickly.8. Prior work experience in an operationally oriented environment which required workingdifferent schedules weekly including evenings, weekends and holidays.
