The Pub Supervisor performs all functions related to maintaining Pub and Prepared Foods operations. This includes providing great customer service, maintaining cleanliness of the department, and assisting team members as needed. Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing the team to achieve and surpass all department goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provide excellent customer service and address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner. Follow all Whole Foods Market (WFM) guidelines for meeting customer needs.2. Keep store environment clean and neat, upholding all standards pertaining to cleanliness, HACCP, and Team Member and customer safety.3. Understand and focus on Good Organics.4. Effectively delegate tasks based on the needs of the department.5. Work a variety of shifts.6. Ability to perform opening and closing procedures and assist in setting clear expectations for team members during scheduled shifts.7. Make sure sweep, sanitation and temp logs are completed.8. Maintain the highest standards in retail execution.9. Respond to customer and team member needs and concerns.10. Read and stay informed daily on communication from regional or store leadership.12. Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating and stocking product, merchandising and end caps.13. Act as the department leadership in their absence.16. Attend all team and store meetings as assigned by Team or Store Leadership.17. Comply with all Customer Service Retail Standards.18. Perform other duties as assigned by Team or Store Leadership.Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:1. Prior experience as a lead on a Perishable Team preferred.2. Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow team members and customers.3. Working understanding of the departments and teams.4. Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM policies and procedures.5. Meets all customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors and fellow team members.6. Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner.7. Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge.8. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.9. Working knowledge and application of all merchandising expectations within the department with a specific focus on attention to detail.10. Proper use of which may include but not limited to, knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler (must be 18 years of age or older) and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store.11. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.Essential Working Conditions:1. Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.2. Bending, stooping, climbing.3. Mental and physical dexterity.4. Unassisted heavy lifting (minimum of 50 lbs.)5.
