Job Description

We are Bread SRSLY, the Bay Area's premier Gluten-Free Sourdough Bread company. We bake thousands of loaves of bread each week in Berkeley and ship them all over the US to eager gluten-free eaters. As dough prep assistant, you will be an integral part of making our sourdough bread. We need someone with food service experience who can work comfortably alongside other people while keeping our production space squeaky clean.

We're looking for a team player who is proud of their work. Your responsibilities will include:

-Preparing bread doughs
-Cleaning mixing equipment
-Maintaining mixing station and supplies
-Cleaning the kitchen nightly
-Other duties as assigned

You should be:

-Able to be on your feet for 8+ hours
-Eager to communicate clearly and adapt to changes quickly
-Comfortable solving problems independently
-Confident working both solo and as part of a team
-Organized, efficient, and not afraid of deadlines
-Strong! And able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds

Additional requirements:

-Ability to commute to Berkeley
-Ability to work until the job is complete
-Authorization to work in the US
-At least 1 year experience working in a kitchen or warehouse
-Flexibility with scheduling during high production weeks (weekend and holiday availability is a must!)
-Food handler's certification a plus
-Conversational Spanish a plus

As the dough preparer, you are going to help us keep our kitchen running smoothly during and after production. We need someone with experience in food service, who can work well with other people while keeping the production space clean.
