Guestsatisfaction in our restaurant revolves around the food appearance, high quality of the food and overall dining experience. The line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry stations or other areas of the kitchen. Promotes a positive image of the property to guest and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and be able to address guest request and problems.Duties and Responsibilities*Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.*Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.*Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.*Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.*Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation andorganizational skills.*Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment inthe station.*Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers andall storage areas.*Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or KitchenManager at any time.*Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.*Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.*Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs*Follow all safety and sanitation policies.*Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS*Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.*Previous prep or cook experience.*Excellent oral communication skills required.*Positive interpersonal skills required.*Schedule days and times may vary based on need.This section should include the required educational background and work experience as well as any licenses or certifications required by law or policy to perform the duties.
