Nestled beneath the Zakim Bridge on the recently revitalized Lovejoy Wharf, this bustling New England farm coast restaurant has opened its doors to the neighborhood for lunch and dinner service. With a focus on the best local food purveyors, its highly curated wine list and a dynamic cocktail program, Alcove will provide a unique experience for any guest, from hockey fans before a night at the Garden to the daily diner from the rejuvenated West End neighborhood.BartenderCandidates should have prior experience both behind the bar and on the floor of a restaurant and have a passion for food, beverage and hospitality. In addition they should be able to demonstrate both professionalism and grace while on stage behind the bar. We are looking for people who can transition seamlessly between the energy of high volume TD Garden crowds into precise, high-touch service on a nightly basis.Bartenders are responsible for the daily setup, maintenance and operation of the bar. They must be willing and able to execute cocktails for Alcoves exacting and robust cocktail program as well as participate in the creation of new recipes. Fundamental knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is required, but as a member of the bar staff, you will be provided with continuing education and direction for growth and development. Willingness to learn and an ability to work and communicate within a team are essential.2 years experience and full time availability are required. Candidates should be organized, efficient, and able to multitask in addition to being eager to expand their knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits and service. We are looking for people who are committed to growing alongside our restaurant. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining par levels of bar products/supplies, changing kegs, polishing glassware and cleaning/ manicuring the bartop.This is a full time position, day/night/weekend availability and scheduling flexibility are a must.
