Catering Warehouse Supervisor Job Summary:

The role of Catering Warehouse Supervisor oversees the warehouse facility processes and provides support to our daily business needs, including the load-out/load-in process, coordinating event rentals (will call and delivery orders), event equipment selection and staging, vendor service coordination, handling "delivery and setups," updating inventory of beverages and catering equipment, and vehicle maintenance. *Position works at our kitchen/warehouse facility in Burlingame, CA.

Catering Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on and oversee the load out/load in process
  • Generate and pull from pack-out lists
  • Handle event equipment selection and staging; catering van selection and loading/unloading vans
  • Prepare event binders, van assignment, event worksheets, collect timesheets and post-event documents
  • Prepare and print menu signs and food labeling
  • Deliver and setup small catering requests, setting up the food display, beverage service, and serve ware, making an attractive presentation
  • At times, remain onsite to help facilitate food, buss/clear, or return to clean-up and breakdown
  • Running errands, including picking up and returning rental will-call orders of china/glassware, etc.; linens/laundry drop-off; gas station runs to fill up our fleet of catering vans; picking up product orders from vendors
  • Maintain warehouse facility functions, including cleaning catering equipment and carry bins/tubs, replenish/clean-up event kits and bins, update event worksheets and catering software, keep shelves of equipment neat and organized
  • Counting/updating inventory of beverages, paper goods, serve ware and other event equipment
  • Vehicle maintenance (car wash, repairs/service, re-fuel, smog, registration)
  • Supervision of catering warehouse associate(s)

Catering Warehouse Supervisor Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and orally
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be capable of bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting and carrying catering equipment up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to focus on details, but also see the big picture and handle multiple tasks, switch gears quickly, and juggle many projects at the same time
  • Computer skills; MS Office proficiency; catering and event industry software experience a plus
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and at times extended hours
  • Previous catering industry work experience required
  • Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record required
