POSITION SUMMARY:Kent Nutrition Group based in Muscatine, Iowa has an opening for at Territory Sales Manager for the Northern South Dakota region. This is a field position working out of a home office to perform their duties covering their assigned Dakota territory. The Territory Sales Manager will develop, manage and execute a business plan for Kent products within the Kent independent dealer network. Accounts managed will consist primarily of dealers and producers within an assigned geographic area of northern South Dakota.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Utilize disciplined account management and team selling strategies to manage assigned accounts and stimulate additional revenue and customer growth• Administer, and maintain account business plans inclusive of distribution, advertising, promotions and nutrition• Take an active leadership role at Trade and Consumer events serving as an advocate for the Kent company and brands• Acquire consistent customer input to monitor forecasts and build long-range plans• Identify new revenue opportunities via continued account penetration and nutritional expertise• Coordinate and execute quality customer relationships including frequent customer presentations, communications and feedback• Manage the internal customer support mechanism through frequent review sessions with Region Manager and other team staff• Manage account profitability to meet and exceed department objective achievements for revenue, margins, market share and account execution• Weekly use of Saleslogix to communicate all account activity• Monthly Expense reconciliationThe above statements cover what are generally believed to be the principal and essential functions of this job. EXPERIENCE:• 1-3 years of outside sales management experience preferred with emphasis on local/regional accounts• Proven selling, prospecting, and territory management experience in an animal science or agribusiness field• Experience in sales of animal feed products preferred• Effective use of computer technology including Microsoft Office applications• Ability to drive to customer facilities, and physically be capable of inspecting animal production facilities• Education and experience with animal nutrition required
