We are a dynamic and innovative catering company that offers a range of services, from events and weddings to corporate and private functions. We also operate a full-service restaurant that serves a variety of cuisines, from classic to modern. We are looking for a Sous Chef who can assist our Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations, overseeing the staff, and ensuring the food quality and safety standards are met. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for: - Planning and executing menus for different events and occasions, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and the clients - Supervising and training the kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants - Ensuring the proper preparation, presentation, and portioning of food, according to the recipes and specifications - Ordering and maintaining the inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, and minimizing food waste and costs - Enforcing the hygiene and sanitation regulations and procedures in the kitchen - Handling any issues or complaints that may arise in the kitchen or with the customers To be successful as a Sous Chef, you will need: - A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or a similar role in a catering or restaurant setting - A culinary degree or certificate from a recognized institution, or equivalent work experience - A creative and innovative approach to cooking, with a flair for developing new and exciting dishes - A strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of chefs - A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the willingness to work in different venues and environments - A knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and dietary requirements - A valid food handler's certificate and a driver's license We offer a competitive salary of up to $75,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
