Our employees also enjoy exclusive benefits, such as: FREE Employee Parking Discounted Bus Passes Free Employee Assistance Program Caesars Employee Discount Program on Hotel Rooms Fun and Free Employee EventsJOB SUMMARY: The Public Area Attendant is responsible for keeping all hotel public areas Spotless, performing all light cleaning of areas as well as specific cleaning within the hotel meeting rooms to ensure a fun-filled and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of four star services is paramount.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Cleans all hotel public areas, including vending areas, to ensure cleanliness and appearance according to Harrahs' standards. Cleans and replenishes sand in ashtrays as needed to ensure cleanliness and appearance according to Harrahs' standards. Dusts high and hard to reach areas in guest rooms, service area bathrooms, corridors, elevator lobbies, elevator cabs, employee break areas, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for cleaning/polishing windows and mirrors according to standards and guidelines. Stocks attendants carts as needed; updates room status. Responsible for stairwell checks, balconies, rollaway beds, vacuum maintenance, calling in repairs as needed. Removes, stores, and replaces guest room furniture and supplies as directed. Demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times. Demonstrates Harrahs' Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, Provides a Warm Farewell.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years old or older. Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work well with others and as a team. Must be able to work any day of the week PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Able to carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and be physically active for 8 hours. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrahs and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
