Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop, monitor and lead team members in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.3. Motivate and supervise staff in order to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives.3. Develop and implement strategic vision of surveillance department including training programs, vulnerability assessments and operational capabilities.4. Assist in establishing, implementing and monitoring department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve proper supervision of department.5. Participate in any court actions relating to gaming violations in order to represent facts as obtained by department.6. Maintain daily activity log and reports to ensure adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are documented for future access.7. Report all observed violations of gaming regulations and procedures to Director of Surveillance as well as Missouri Gaming Commission Agent on Duty, in order to adhere to reporting requirements of Horseshoe St. Louis and the Gaming Commission.8. Retain all current information on various cheating methods and techniques on games; be able to identify irregular activities and act on them to ensure the protection of company assets, patrons and team members.9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.JOB QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Level 1 Missouri Gaming License. Ability to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written form, with guest , other surveillance supervisors and management, as well as all levels of team members. Ability to read, comprehend and write legible reports. Ability to prioritize, and multi-task to effectively supervise operators and shift managers. Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates. Ability to look over players and identify and observe cheating techniques, illegal activities and explain and define activities to others clearly; must have 20/20 corrected vision.This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree (BA), a minimum of five to seven years gaming experience and three to five years casino surveillance experience along with a significant knowledge in casino operations. Minimum three years supervisory or management experience required.
