We are adding an Event & Catering Sales Manager to join our team in support of the growth and operations for multiple brands across our restaurant businesses including Bamboo Sushi and Mr. West Café Bar.

Grow Sales through:

Identifying and contacting prospective clients to promote onsite and offsite catering events.
Provide high level guest service through securing, curating, and planning catering events for the various restaurant brands.
Write proposals and organize tasting menus.
Partner with leadership and event staff to organize event facilitation efficiently and ensure clients expectations are met.
Develop event and catering sales strategies, keeping up on market trends and participating in local events to attract business.
Develop new business relationships and opportunities to increase event and catering sales.
Review and respond to all correspondence with prospective and confirmed clients.
Solicit, negotiate, and book new event and catering sales through outside sales calls, site tours, networking, internet promotions, and written communication.
Other duties assigned.
Travel required based on the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

1 - 3 years of sales/catering experience required
2 or more years of experience in food & beverage required.
Upscale restaurant experience preferred.
Passion for guest service.
Knowledge of food menus and beverage programs
Ability to work independently, while being inventive and creative to build catering and event sales
Ability to multi task and organize time with strong attention to detail
High integrity and openness
Highly motivated with an inquiring mind and passion for excellence

Work is performed primarily in an office and restaurant settings with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment

Operate basic office equipment

Operate basic restaurant equipment

Be able to exchange accurate information while communication with customers

Be able to distinguish different tastes, i.e., sweet and bitter flavors.

Work in a noisy/distracting environment
