Positions Available: Prep Cook, Line Cook, Driver

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare raw ingredients for recipes
  • Maintain food preparation and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
  • Perform portion control and minimize waste
  • Follow packing procedures and standards
  • Stock inventory and supplies as needed
  • Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work location(s)
  • Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables
  • Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen
  • Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work required hours/shift, and leave at scheduled time
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work during regular business and program hours
  • Must be able to obtain Food Handler certification
  • Must be able to pass agency background screens and drug screen at any time
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual
  • Experience with youth (professional or volunteer) preferred
  • Previous experience with cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
  • Work experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club) is an advantage
