Job Description
The Bistro/Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for being the primary Food & Beverage contact until management arrives. Verifies schedules, checks deliveries and carries Food & Beverage cell phone. Provides coverage for any Cafe attendant in the absence of scheduled Bistro staff.
Hourly Wage $17.00 with generous benefits.
Essential Job Duties:
In the absence of the Dining Room Manager, supervises the physical appearance of the Cafe stations including table pedestals, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes and lighting.
- Coordinates the seating of the residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner.
- Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
- Records meal counts, reservations and additional charges. Complete knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Confers with Dining Room Manager regarding dining room status.
- Confers with Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage regarding any food, staffing or service issues.
- Makes morning rounds of Market, Dietary and Kitchen to check staff levels.
- Provides coffee services for Residents' events and Administration.
