Job Description

Summary:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes. They must have a strong understanding of food safety procedures and be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

This position is located on a fixed oil platform off the coast of Southern California. Shifts are 12 hours working a 14 day on/14 day off schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes
  • Plan all meals for a 14 day work schedule
  • Follow food safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that food is prepared and served safely and on time
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to food safety procedures
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
