Summary:
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes. They must have a strong understanding of food safety procedures and be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This position is located on a fixed oil platform off the coast of Southern California. Shifts are 12 hours working a 14 day on/14 day off schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes
- Plan all meals for a 14 day work schedule
- Follow food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work as part of a team to ensure that food is prepared and served safely and on time
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of and adherence to food safety procedures
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
