Wingstop is an exciting growth company and this role will help propel that growth. This individual will have strong business acumen and will contribute to our national sales growth plan across 1600 restaurants (and growing!) This role will drive a modern media vision for the organization and continue to challenge the status quo. They will be responsible for developing and executing a connections plan across the full consumer journey that will grow our brand and meet business objectives. This individual will inspire marketing and the senior leadership team with their passion for the consumer, expertise of media, sense of creativity and innovation, keen ability to synthesize and utilize data across the consumer journey and ability to drive results. They will equally be left brain/right brain as it relates to marketing responsible for culturally relevant ideas (sports, hip hop, gaming) and brand-building efforts as well as performance marketing, CRM and analytics. They will feel as energized leading an ideation session around content creation with Complex as they would a data strategy with our MarTech team.

With a database of 30 million customers, Wingstop is shifting to be a platform brand with data at its core. This role will lead our "Wing ID" Personalization strategy and execution. Wing ID is a critical, multiyear digital transformation journey in its 3rd year. This individual will partner with MarTech to continue to drive and scale Personalization across external channels and our internal digital ecosystem.

This individual is a marketing thought leader who is intellectually curious and passionate about raising the bar for themselves and the team. They excel at people leadership (a team of 6), inspire others and are collaborative across the organization and agencies. They are hungry for bringing marketing to the next level and are continually developing ideas and driving results. They are solution-oriented, energetic and a self-starter. They have excellent communication skills and are adept at simplifying complex problems. Their thought leadership is evident in their presentation skills with senior management and the vision they create for their team and agencies. They are a media expert but can take their media hat off and help lead the marketing department and broader work.   • Develop and commercialize a modern media vision that takes into account the dynamic and constantly evolving consumer, media and digital landscape.
  • Bring strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity to the role and the work.
  • Continue to bring new ideas and innovation seeped in insights, data and culture.
  • Develop expertise around the consumer and segmentation; build a dynamic 1P audience strategy.
  • Anchored to business objectives, build an impactful media strategy that encompasses brand building and conversion efforts, and a channel strategy that spans external marketing channels and Wingstop's digital ecosystem.
  • Drive Wingstop to be a cultural brand especially across sports, hip hop, gaming; partner with organic/influencer team to ensure Wingstop continues to be engrained in culture.
  • Use rigorous approach to determine brand and performance media partners and continually assess effectiveness of each partner.
  • In partnership with Director of Insights & Analytics, lead analytic media practice ensuring capabilities continue to evolve; utilize the data for real-time optimization and learning.
  • Develop performance media approach, innovation and learning plans.
  • Lead, coach and reward team of 6 media professionals and 4 agencies
  • Develop senior level presentations for Senior Leadership Team, Franchisee Advisory Committee and Board of Directors


  • 10+ years national media leadership experience at client-side marketing department or media agency. Media experience with brands in Retail, QSR or other fast paced industries. Proven track record of driving meaningful results and a strong business acumen.
  • Expertise building an audience strategy from Segmentation and 1P data.
  • Success in building intelligent and actionable media strategies and consumer journey plans.
  • Thought leadership across both brand-building AND performance media.
  • Deep knowledge of all national and local media channels and how to achieve success within each: Linear, OTT, Social, Audio, Performance Social, Performance Display, Search, Email, Push, eCommerce.
  • Analytics expertise that drives better outcomes. Experience across many analytic capabilities (MMM, MTA, etc.) and the ability to optimize and learn. Can synthesize the data into intelligent insights.
  • Inspires the organization through their vision, work and results; works collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent people leadership skills, proven ability to coach team and agencies.
  • Effectively provides leadership in fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.
