The property has a 499 Room Hotel, Four (4) Restaurants hotel and our new expansion adds nearly 5000 square feet of gaming space including poker and a new restaurant all scheduled to open in early 2023. JOB SUMMARY: The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for interfacing with requesting departments and maintaining optimum levels of service to internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Submits input from co-worker and department users on labor saving, safety and dollar saving innovations. Assists in development of employee appraisals and identification of training and upward mobility candidates. Conducts daily tours of all work areas and public areas, identifying and correcting any deficiencies. Maintains daily shift log indicating, but not limited to, employee incidents, irregularities that may arise, i. e., mechanical shutdowns, emergencies, and alarms. Coordinates directly with vendors and sub-contractors to provide clear direction daily and communicates changes and inefficiencies to the Department Managers and Directors. Acts as a role model to other employees, the successful candidate will be a change manager for building a team approach within their shift. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to Federal, State, and Local regulatory, departmental and company policies. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Some College preferred. Good working knowledge of overall Hospitality industry as it relating to the engineering and maintenance field is required. Must have good working knowledge of more than one technical field. Prefer a licensed trade professional i.e. HVAC, Electric, or Plumbing. Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervisor role preferred. Journeyman or equivalent in at least one trade for a minimum of five years is required. Must be able to get along with co-workers and negotiated difficult situations internally and externally through other departments. Must present a well-groomed professional appearance. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photo copier. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to read and understand documents and diagrams.
