Job Description

Centralized Supply Chain Services, LLC (CSCS ) is the exclusive purchasing agent for the Applebee's and IHOP systems.

Formed as a purchasing cooperative to leverage the combined buying power of both systems, CSCS currently manages approximately $2 billion in spend on behalf of its Member operators.

CSCS's primary mission is two-fold. First, to assure that Member operators receive the benefit of continuously available goods and distribution services in adequate quantities at the lowest sustainable delivered prices; and second, to coordinate with Applebee's and IHOP in their ongoing efforts to develop new and innovative products and programs to promote their respective concepts.

Essential Duties

  • Ability to lead a Steering team of leadership that makes decisions regarding restaurant profit initiatives/ideas.
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team to generate, develop, and execute ideas to improve profit.
  • Leverage TCIU (total cost in use) to determine the best profit ideas and implement those.
  • Lead and support category teams in determining the best profit ideas to apply organizational resources against.
  • Work with category managers on food/non-food/services projects to bring forward profit opportunities.
  • Work with the Applebee's brand to generate profit ideas on key P&L areas - labor, food management (AvT), Beverage, etc.
  • Prepare leadership presentations, track cost savings in partnership with CSCS bus analytics, etc.
  • Provide leadership to the brand as the "profit champion" to own all things profit.
  • Manage relationships with key leadership (CSCS, brand, franchisee's) and team members, supplier partners, etc., to engender trust and support
  • Own achieving a CSCS/Brand target for profit savings (could include cost savings and cost avoidance, additional metrics as determined by CSCS/brand).


Minimum - 7 years' experience in procurement or inventory management. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated team leader and supervisory skills. Demonstrated project management skills.

Desired - Minimum required experience plus food service distributor experience.
