Our Stewards are the backbone of our restaurant. Stewards provide clean restaurant wares for front of house and back of house departments. They maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space for all back of house staff to utilize. Scrape dishes into the disposal area and cycles the dirty dishes through the dish machine. Place clean glassware from the dish machine onto dollies as well as stocking clean dishware on the cooks' line. Hang clean cooking utensils, pot, pans and baskets on appropriate hooks throughout the kitchen. Fill and change chemicals and soap used in the dish machine at a minimum of every 2 hours. Sort flatware into bins for proper cleaning and sanitizing. Empty trash into the dumpster.
Stewards observe the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety. Utilize various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Complete all running, opening and closing side work. Get checked out by management before leaving the building. Provide friendly and competent customer service. Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
