Job Description

Hunter's Head Tavern in Upperville, Virginia, offers a traditional English Pub menu and atmosphere, and is seeking a full-time Sous Chef. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of restaurant experience with some management-level experience. This job requires nights, weekends, and some holiday shifts. Responsibilities: Manage all activities in the kitchen including preparing and cooking all menu items; Learn all stations in the kitchen; Assist Executive Chef with ordering, training, quality control and personnel management; Assure kitchen staff is trained in best cleanliness and sanitation practices. Assume the role of Executive Chef in the Executive Chef's absence. Qualifications: 5 years' restaurant experience cooking in a fine dining environment; Management level experience; Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room staff and guests; Safe Food Handling Certification Ability to work long hours in hot conditions.
