A typical is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace. At the heart of our family of businesses is a National Support Center (NSC) where Centers of Excellence work to make our operation runs seamlessly across our independent profit centers, providing our Profit Center Managers with the essential services they need to run their businesses. Our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for a Benefits Specialist at the Lafayette Hill, PA office. Job Summary The Benefits Specialist serves as first level contact for teammates, retirees, and family member inquiries for assistance and information related to Hajoca Benefits, including Health & Welfare Plans, and Retirement Plans. Obtains and provides requested information or takes appropriate action to resolve, refer, or escalate issues in accordance with company policies and procedures. Works closely with entire Benefits Team on overall Benefits Administration. Job Duties Professionally and accurately respond to written and oral inquiries from teammates, retirees, and family members regarding the areas of employee benefits enrollment, benefit programs, Cobra, and Retirement plans. Accurately document detailed information regarding interactions within Hajoca's tracker System, SPOTT. Coach teammates, retirees, and families on how to use self-service technology and makes referrals to outside vendors or other resources as appropriate. Act as point of escalation to Subject Matter Experts for unresolved problems. Process Qualifying Life Event requests for teammates and coordinate with the payroll team to ensuring all proper insurance premiums are adjusted as necessary. Work with third party Cobra Administrator to facilitate benefits coverage and termination within carrier portals, and periodically audits enrollment. Accurately process National Medical Support Notices, including notifications and enrollments. Assist with updating and maintaining required system and training documentation for internal and external usage. Assist the Leave of Absence Specialist with administration of Company's Leave of Absence program, including Long-Term Disability claims and other State Disability/Family Leave claims. Stay up to date on state specific laws regarding benefits and leave of absence. Monitor processes for compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Assist in administering the Company's retirement and pension plans and facilitates notifications to retirees regarding benefits. Successfully complete Benefits project work as assigned. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times. Work collaboratively and support efforts of team members. All interested applicants must possess: Intermediate skills using MS Office. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to convey answers, issues, and status changes in a clear, concise, and effective manner. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business. Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have impact on people and quality of service. Skills to deal with interpersonal conflict and set-back in a mature, problem-solving, solutions-oriented manner. Knowledge and understanding of common payroll, benefits, and recruiting practices. Our ideal candidate will also have: Bachelor's Degree, major in Human Resources, Business, or English preferred. Professional certification such as CEBS or SHRM-CP preferred.
