NOW HIRING a full-time direct hire Quality Assurance (QA) Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana!

Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing and Packaging, and its local client are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to ensure compliance in quality and food safety. The QA Technician will support business operations of the assigned unit, including but not limited to product releases, hold processing, incident reporting, investigations, audits, data reports and key data maintenance.



1st shift/day shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:00AM - 6:00PM

2nd shift/night shift: 6:00PM - 6:00AM

Must be flexible to work weekends as needed

Quality Assurance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Collects and processes retain or hold samples to secure compliant investigations
  • Provides relief and PTO coverages for Line Techs in business unit lab
  • Maintains 5S style housekeeping in the main lab
  • Performs key analytical and organoleptic testing of raw/finished product as required
  • Enters data from all analyses into Infinity database
  • Maintains accurate and legible records where applicable
  • Initiates HOLD for any non-compliant product in either food safety or product quality
  • Informs line leadership of any situations regarding product quality trends, food safety, or labeling
  • Performs metal detector investigations of reject samples brought in from the line
  • Performs label and packaging verifications as required
  • Audits, verifies, and ensures the performance of required calibration tests and the minor maintenance of lab equipment
  • Follows the escalation protocol for any food safety incidences
  • Conducts line audits, including pre-ops, as required
  • Initiates IR (Incident Report) for any non-compliant situations
  • Supports QA projects as assigned
  • Collects and ships samples for third-party analysis

Quality Assurance Technician Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of quality assurance experience in a food facility or food internship program
  • OR equivalent/related work experience
  • OR a combination of related school and work experience


  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in food science or related science
  • HACCP certification
  • Experience in a 24-hour manufacturing facility in quality or food safety
