_Do you want to experience the best outdoor lifestyle in Whistler, BC--Canada's premier ski resort town? Pan Pacific Whistler is looking for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Manager. We are looking for a dynamic and physically fit individual for this physically demanding role._

Supervises and coordinates the day to day operation of the Engineering Department.
Work with other Maintenance leadership to plan, oversee and ensure completion of preventative maintenance schedules for the various areas.
Ensures and practices high standards of safety to safeguard the well being of our guests, associates, and the physical property.
Regularly inspects the pool and tubs for water quality and reviews the chemical charts.
Conducts regular audits on the various areas of the facilities.
Keeps track of PM report in an organized manner.
Conducts regular parts inventory checks and provides the Maintenance Manager with part references and quantities required.
Masters all common tasks in order to provide guidance to team members.
Assists in the execution of special projects.
Supervises and leads Engineering staff in the absence of other Maintenance Leadership (e.g. vacations or days off)
Identify, negotiate and teach associates on how to work with supplier/vendors to provide products and services that support and comply with PPHR brand and standards.
Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards guests, clients and other associates.
Contributes an energetic and positive attitude to the hotel atmosphere

Previous experience in a Hotel Maintenance/Engineering department.
Minimum 3 years' experience in the hospitality industry.
Familiar with Strata titled Hotels.
Successful completion of Pool Operator 1 course.
Good proficiency in computer programs, including hotel reservation software and Microsoft Office.
Good technical aptitude skills.
The ability to lead by example.
Possesses an ability to effectively and professionally communicate at all levels.

SALARY: Remuneration commensurate with experience
