Job Description

As the Food & Beverage Project Manager, you will help develop business strategies, projects, and integration efforts. From project management to communication, you will coordinate activities, gain input from essential partners, track milestones, and help prepare us for implementation. You will work with the General Manager and Culinary Director to support local strategies and global projects.

You will report to the General Manager of Magic Kingdom Food and Beverage.

You Will
  • Support integration efforts for several food and beverage projects including new technologies and systems, solutions, and products

  • Work with a broad audience of partners, partner groups and operations clients including Revenue Management, Digital, Industrial Engineering, Operations Training, Sign Shop partners, Documentation, Communication, and other strategic partners like Consumer Insight, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Synergy, Safety Services, Advisory and Assurance, Labor Relations, Park Planning and Integration, Revenue Currency Control, WDI, Facility Asset Management and Other Lines of Business (Merchandise, Operations, Engineering and Entertainment etc.)

  • Communicate with operators to maintain an understanding of priorities, our requirements, climate, environmental impacts, and overall landscape of conditions and attitudes affecting food and beverage operations

  • Support change management efforts for seamless integration at our client level

  • Provide expertise and represent the Food & Beverage business in the development of projects, products or processes

  • Provide on-site support

  • In partnership with partners and operating clients, design new and revised processes, standards and business rules

  • Facilitate dialogue with essential partners to resolve issues when a complex understanding of operational processes, regulatory requirements, and WDP&R policy is required

  • Manage project timelines and identify constrained resources, conflicting priorities, and scheduling issues

  • Oversee park Direct Purchase Capital process in partnership with General Managers, Engineering Services, and Finance

  • Work with other park lines of business on Integrated Facility Planning (IFP) projects for F&B

You Have
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Great follow though

  • Strong relationship skills, "partner of choice"

  • Relevant work experience in the food and beverage industry

  • Understanding of operational processes, regulatory requirements, and WDP&R policies

  • Advanced experience managing projects

  • The ability to deconstruct, simplify and document complex content

  • An understanding of when projects need to involve multiple partners and decisions need to be made at other levels

  • Proficiency in advanced software and computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies (PowerPoint, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Menu Pro, etc.)

  • The ability to present written executive summaries and make presentations to large groups that will sometimes include senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts-Food & Beverage operational leadership experience
