Job Description

It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Casino Controller to assist with overseeing revenue accounting of the casino operations including completing account reconciliations and maintenance of records for county, state, and federal taxes and licenses, and safeguard of company assets. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Specific Job Functions: + Communicate with Department Heads regarding accounting and internal control issues + Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations + Prepare and maintain casino revenue accounting records + Perform tasks and assignments in compliance with corporate accounting policies + Ensure compliance with Nevada Minimum Internal Controls Standards (MICS), regulations and statutes + Provide support to managers and aid in the development of leadership skills + Communicate with external and internal auditors + Direct accounting staff on technical matters + Review disbursements prior to release + Maintain records for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and Nevada Gaming Control Board + Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department + Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance + Professional appearance and demeanor a must + Must have, or be able to obtain, Gaming Registration + At least five years of supervisory / management experience required + A minimum of three years accounting / finance experience required + Experience with the preparation and submission of county, state and gaming taxes Requisition ID: 6 Union Status: Non-Union External Company Name: Treasure Island Las Vegas External Company URL:
