Summary: Clean, wash and sanitize meat, seafood and poultry processing areas.. Maintain cleanliness of work space by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prep Processing room for washing Power down machines using appropriate procedures Break down equipment for cleaning. Remove cardboard, trash bags, inedible from processing rooms Use high and low pressure water wash systems with water temperature between 120-140F Use proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures Ability to read labels for chemical identification Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and/or weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to read film specifications Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
