Preferred: One year of formal training or education beyond the high school level with culinary concentration. Familiar with health care food service, standards of operation or related field. Ability to read and write and communicate effectively.
Minimum: Prior cooking experience. Ability to prepare items following a recipe and to convert recipes to appropriate quantities. Proper use and knowledge of kitchen equipment. Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards. Knowledge of different measures. Knowledge of proper temperatures for all food.
Preferred: Prior experience working under HACCP standards. Prior Hospital and/or Nursing Home experience.
Minimum: Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
