Responsible and accountable for the proactive leadership, direction, and support for all phases of catering events and "day of" coordination and the guest experience. Oversee hourly catering team members to ensure service execution of catered events.

Key Areas of Collaboration and InfluenceResponsible for the effective and efficient operation of the catering department within the guidelines established by the Company. Responsible for all catering functions. Receiving catering orders and coordinate service with individual customers; working with the customer for the planning of the event, if necessary - ensuring accurate cost-effective pricing Ensure preparation, delivery, display of hot and cold catering and/other foodstuffs are completed. Maintain a budget in all financial areas - food, labor, operating costs. Maintaining accurate financial records. Forecast, plan, purchase, and receive operating needs and supplies. Complete an accurate inventory of each financial cycle. Menu Planning in a creative manner utilizing your culinary skill and experience in developing menus and utilizing the utmost in sustainable and organic products. Maintaining accurate food production records. Ensure all food preparation and cooking is of high-quality tasty well-presented foods for each event s menu utilizing HACCP guidelines and procedures. Also including breakdown and cleanup of the area, maintaining a sanitary/clean environment. Employee training and development to include but not limited to food quality and presentation, food safety, safety, customer service. Superior interpersonal skills leading your staff to the highest standard of the Company Knowledge and implementation of Local, State, and Federal Labor Law regulations Effective communication with employees, customers, and all levels of management in the Company utilizing superior customer service. Detailed oriented and ability to multi-task working independently with minimal direction
Ideal Candidate Experience3+ Years experience in operating a successful restaurant Previous experience supervising others ServSafe Certified or ability to become ServSafe Certified Graduate of an accredited Culinary Institution a plus
Key AccountabilitiesSupport, plan and execute events at a top-rated gaming company in Los Angeles. Manage a high volume of large meeting room reservations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients on event logistics and communications. Create detailed floor plans and communicate room setups to Facilities staff. Gather and assess event metrics for internal use. Enter and track PO requests into Coupa for event purchases. Provide on-site and often after-hours day/weekends of support. Oversee staffing, setup, and breakdown for all events. Place event catering orders through an internal catering system. Point of contact responsible for event issues and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Foster positive internal and external relationships being attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional in a pleasant demeanor Lead the department to follow all workplace and food safety rules to actively prevent accidents. Responsible for all catering team members and functions including the smooth execution of the Catering Standard Operating Procedures. Deliver consistent quality in planning and execution of VIP and complex events. Develop and execute strategies to achieve catering revenue forecasts. Develops and manages all aspects of the catering budgets; reviews financial reports and takes corrective actions as appropriate to ensure budget goals are met. Builds professional relationships with key site service users to instill confidence and build organizational trust. Leads in the coordination, execution, and measurement of client specific initiatives
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentsMust be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. Employees must be able to work on their feet 7.5 hours per day excluding breaks. The employee has to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods. The job requires a valid CA driver's license.
