The Restaurant Chef is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This includes the Market restaurant and Bistro grab and go.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Five years culinary experience as leader in a multi-unit hotel or conference center.

  • Previous experience supervising a staff of fifteen or more employees.

  • Three years culinary experience. Experience with culinary departments and menu development.

  • Creative, innovative, and assertive personality.

  • Strong Computer Skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for researching, creating, and executing new menu items on a seasonal basis.

  • Creates schedules for the kitchen team.

  • Oversee sanitation within the kitchen and addresses concerns.

  • Oversees the Kitchen Inventory Supervisor to ensure items are procured, product is stocked and par levels maintain, an ongoing inventory of product.

  • Works with restaurant manager to identify issues with food quality or selection for continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, coaching, discipline and performance appraisals of all culinary staff.

  • Provides constants support with recruiting strategies and needs to ensure the kitchen is staffed.

  • Oversees the development and maintains financials for labor, food cost and other expenses within the kitchen.
