Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Remain 100% engaged in all safety initiatives and comply with all plant safety regulations
Comply with all plant rules and corporate policies regarding business conduct
Manage $2.5MM in storeroom parts by keeping accurate inventory, setting safety stock, and assessing criticality to keep plant operations running.
Actively engage in the plant's Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts through maintaining 5S standards and pillar activities as assigned, including general housekeeping of your areas
Assist plant personnel when items need to be returned or sent to vendors (i.e., boxing up items, having correct paperwork, and coordinating with Shipping Dept.)
Must maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) through establishing routine procedures
Put together (Kit) work orders for maintenance accurately and timely and communicate any kitting needs with the plant Buyer and Maintenance
Regularly attend maintenance meetings to discuss work orders & parts for repair
All spare parts must be counted on an annual basis at minimum, high usage/critical spare parts shall be cycle counted to ensure correct inventory is recorded in SAP
Record receipt of all incoming parts into SAP, tag each item, put parts away, and file related paperwork daily. This includes delivering items to addressed individuals if applicable.
Issue out spare parts against an applicable work order or cost center
Review spare parts inventory at least semi-annually with the Maintenance Team to determine if parts on hand are obsolete or if any part needs adjustments to safety stock levels
Identify current stock items that are slow moving and/or overstock to determine if item should be returned or inventory level reduced
Keep spare parts locations and kitting areas accurate in SAP to aid in job readiness
Regular onsite attendance
Follow the company waste management program - separate all recyclable material and discard waste into the appropriate containers to ensure sustainability efforts maximized
All other duties as assigned or needed that can be performed safely
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The employee should hold the following abilities and skills:
Proficient in computer skills
Properly use tools and housekeeping resources (examples - mop, broom, powered industrial floor scrubber, shovel, pick, paint brush, lawn mower, weed eater, rake, etc.)
Self-starting initiative to maintain area in an organized fashion
Must be able to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision with drive toward accomplishment, and to produce high quality work.
Strong attention to detail
Must have the ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
Provide verifiable and sustained authorization to work in the United States
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPETENCIES
The employee must be able to:
Log onto a computer and navigate via keyboard to access SAP, paycheck/benefits enrollment information, and accomplish required online training routinely
Proficient in SAP
Experience in logistics management
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
High School or GED equivalent
Must be able to learn and demonstrate proficiency in the responsibilities of this position.
Requires proficiency exam at a passing score to demonstrate skill.
Basic understanding of maintenance stores, parts, and equipment
At least two (2) years in a related maintenance, sourcing, or inventory specialty occupation is highly preferred
