Tax Services Staff for a Public Accounting Firm (Full-Time)

Requirements Summary:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA eligibility is desirable

Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs (THF) is a growing, regional, Top 150 accounting firm headquartered in Tallahassee, FL, with other office locations in Tampa, FL; Panama City, FL; and Bainbridge, GA. We are seeking career-oriented Tax Service personnel to join our Tallahassee team. You would be responsible for a wide array of duties. You would work with an exceptional team of professionals, receive ongoing training, and work in a technologically advanced office serving a diverse group of clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understands the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA, FICPA, and the Florida Board of Accountancy
Knowledge of pertinent IRC sections and regulations
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and not-for-profit tax returns of varying complexities
Become proficient at tax research including knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
CPA eligibility is desirable
Experience working with corporate, individual, partnership, or fiduciary is a plus
The ability to work independently or in a team environment
An understanding of Microsoft applications and other software programs used to prepare and review tax returns
