The Hospitality Manager is responsible for ensuring Notable Hospitality managing the host team, reservations and special events, floor management - seating, greeting and guest interaction.

Responsibilities include setting up and preparing the dining rooms and patio prior to service, handling reservations, welcoming and greeting guests and coordinating the work of the service team.

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for ensuring a hospitable atmosphere in the entry way (lobby), dining rooms, and patio.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greets guests at the entrance. As guests' first point of contact, ensures that guests initial impression of the restaurant is a positive one

Works with catering and events to ensure successful outcomes

Trains and manages the host team and assists with other management duties as needed

Ensures that guests are seated comfortably and servers are present to take orders

Responsible for guest relations and ensuring that all guests receive impeccable service at all times.

The Hospitality Manager ensures that all guests have an exceptional dining experience; has a thorough knowledge of dining steps of service and protocol, strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with the food service industry

Immediately addresses all guest concerns


Managing reservations, including on-line reservation system

Calling guests to confirm reservations

Making follow-up calls on any guest concerns regarding reservations

Working with catering to set-up floor plans around catering events

Maintaining daily communication to management about reservation, large parties, and events


Checks that the dining room is ready for service - mise en place has been completed (e.g. plates, glasses, napkins and serving accessories are available and tables are set up properly, the dining area is clean, tidy and presentable and the lighting, music and any decorations, such as candles and POP, are all present and correct

Food and Beverage Knowledge

As the person in charge of presenting the menu and the wine list, The Hospitality Manager must have comprehensive knowledge of both and keep up to date with any menu changes so that they make helpful suggestions to our guests.

Guest Interaction/Seating

Manages host team and ensures all guest interaction is positive.

When possible the Hospitality Manager take guests their table and seats them. Alternatively, guests may be escorted to their places and seated by a host.

Other Responsibilities

In addition to coordinating the activities of the dining room and hosts from an operational point of view during service, the Hospitality Manager has a wide range of organizational responsibilities,
including scheduling the working hours and shifts of the restaurant's hosts. Working the shift as the host on duty.
