Job Description

Heritage Commons and Thomas Feeney Manor,  a first-in-the-nation assisted living/memory care public housing development designed for seniors needing enhanced assistance, has a rare opportunity for a Full-Time Chef/ Culinary Manager to help lead our team.  Your leadership in the kitchen will ensure our residents, guests, and employees have a top-notch dining experience - from food quality to exemplary service. We are conveniently located in Heritage Park near North Minneapolis on the bus route.  For your commitment and dedication, we are offering a $5,000 Bonus to be paid out over two years.

In this role, you will utilize your creative culinary skills to plan enticing and nutritious meals for our residents at Heritage Commons, Thomas Feeney Manor and our Open Circle Adult Day program.  Our ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years of experience or formal training, scratch cooking, ability to work with seniors and supervisory experience.

Chef/ Culinary Manager skills and responsibilities:

  • 1+ years of culinary experience required or formal training.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
  • Food Safety Manager Certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal food service regulations, preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to create and work within a budget.
