Associate Network Engineer

Hyatt is currently seeking to add an Associate Network Engineer to support the Hyatt team. The role provides daily challenges, and no day is the same as the next. This role has both operational and strategic responsibilities, along with interaction with customers. This role will plan, coordinate, implement and deliver services to our customers and partners on a variety of platforms and vendor platforms. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have subject matter expertise in several network areas, but a minimum of two with the ability to rapidly scale up in other areas will suffice. The goal will be to deliver a high-quality product by committed delivery dates, consistently.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Network Engineer will include:

• Work with end users in a support role via phone, email and/or in person.
• Monitor and respond to alerts from operations and report anomalies/issues.
• Provide data entry assistance to the Asset and Configuration Management Teams.
• Maintain and interface with the Systems Management Infrastructure to help ensure the stability of network devices(LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Cloud connectivity).
• Daily network MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletions) tasks.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity across LAN, WAN, switches/routers and firewalls.
• Assist in the development of OS images, inventory and deployments.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• General knowledge of networking and networking technologies is preferred.
• Prefer candidates with hospitality and service industry backgrounds. Not required.
• 2+ years of network switch, router and firewall management experience.
• Certifications such as Cisco, CCNA or other relevant certifications are required.
• Flexible to work on/off shift to meet company, customer and internal requirements.
• Detailed documentation and communication skill sets.

Education:

• High School/Secondary education diploma required.
• Preferred: Associates Degree in computer related course of study required.
