Hastings Senior Health & Living, a 5-star rated, 72-bed long term care center is hiring Part-Time or Full-Time Dietary Aides to work Day shifts or Every Other Weekend. Hours: 6:45am – 2:30pm. In this role, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience by serving our residents meals. Meal times and good food are a very important part of everyone's lives -- join our team today to make a difference in the lives of those we serve! 

Starting Wage: $13.01 / hour plus more for experience. These are Part-Time Day and Full-Time Day, benefit eligible positions. 

Potential training opportunity to cross train to cooking position available to candidate looking for an opportunity for advancement. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills!

Dietary Aide responsibilities:

  • Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
  • Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
  • Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
  • Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and families.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Dietary Aide skills and requirements: 

  • Be willing to be cross trained in other areas in food service (cooking).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
