Job Description

THE ROLE

The Account Executive, Sales will be responsible for generating significant revenue from traditional groups through various outreach channels including their existing network of contacts, cold calling and incoming leads. Their primary focus will include schools, tour groups, and corporations. Additionally, they will pro-actively assist in developing future programs that will benefit the Illuminarium's long-term sales goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide superior customer service to clients and prospects
  • Generate sales leads through phone and email outreach
  • Generate leads through previous customer network if applicable
  • Complete the booking process from reservation, to invoicing, payment and ticket fulfillment
  • Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries and emails
  • Maintain comprehensive records and accounting
  • Develop client relationships to ensure long-term patronage
  • Manage client-related issues in a calm, professional manner
  • Up-sell added-value products
  • Attend networking events and trade shows as needed
  • Non-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays as necessary)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - diplomatic, tactful, customer-focused with a professional phone manner and ability to interact with a variety of clients
  • Resourceful, conscientious and punctual
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic and outgoing personality with a proactive approach to work
  • Desire to grow a fruitful career in attractions, sports and entertainment
