Job Description

Overall, the Corporate Director of Sales & Revenue is responsible for development and execution of sales strategies for Moody National Hospitality Management. The position drives sales initiatives, directives, training and strategic positioning of hotels in order to maximize revenues and increase the value of portfolio. Additionally, the position oversees the development, implementation, and follow through of key sales and revenue strategies that optimize business opportunities for our properties.


  • Direct property Directors of Sales and Sales Managers to achieve and/or exceed top line revenue.
  • Initiate and develop the timeline for the annual marketing plan. Review plan with property level sales staff to ensure the strategy is in line with the revenue goals.
  • Along with the GM, work with sales teams to define target accounts.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and assistance to the sales teams to secure the business from the target accounts.
  • Develop yearly sales call goals and benchmarks by which sales team members can be measured and graded.
  • Monitor benchmarks to ensure that the sales team is actively securing business to ensure revenue goals are being met.


  • Conduct weekly revenue call with both revenue managers and regional directors of sales to review weekly forecast and 30-60-90 pace of each hotel.
  • Monitor and manage sales if pace is behind or GM has forecasted to miss monthly top line revenue. Provide direction and action plans for Directors of Sales to implement to drive revenue.
  • Work daily with our Revenue Managers to help make informed decisions that maximize top line revenue.
  • Join in weekly revenue calls to drive revenue strategies and provide direction as needed.
  • Create and adjust strategies accordingly based on the market conditions
  • Conduct Weekly STAR reviews and daily Strategy Board reviews.
  • Create and deliver sales initiatives for the company as a portfolio that will produce opportunities for revenue growth (ie. Partnerships with TravelClick, Expedia, CLC, ALE Solutions)


  • Develop orientation program for all new Directors of Sales and Sales Managers.
  • Conduct one on one training and coaching via property visits.
  • Develop and deliver quarterly webinar training to all sales members.
  • Develop and email weekly email blasts: short pieces of learning opportunities for property sales teams.
  • Identify challenges in a timely manner and take corrective action when weaknesses are uncovered within the sales team.
  • Develop, organize and deliver sales conferences and sales presentations to Sales teams and General Managers.
  • Oversee shop call training - listen to each shop call and coach as needed to improve our closing percentage.
  • Create and deliver new sales SOPs as needed

Education Required
  • High School Diploma / GED or better
  • Bachelor of Arts or better in Hospitality and Resort Management or related field
