JANUS et Cie currently has an opening for a Hospitality Sales Specialist to maintain existing accounts and develop new accounts around the New York City area.

Under the direction of the Director of Hospitality Sales, the Hospitality Sales Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and deliver presentations to architects, designers, purchasing agents and owner's representatives
  • Generate solutions and quotes for clients
  • Create and close sales
  • Manage current accounts to ensure company and client satisfaction
  • Develop customer relationships and understand market dynamics to bring all projects to a successful close
  • Prospect new accounts
  • Handle day-to-day customer care with support from backup team members
  • Meet sales goals
  • Other duties as needed

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience with at least 5 years in outside sales
  • Luxury furniture or interior design knowledge is a plus
  • Hunter mentality and exceptional persuasion skills
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
