Job Description

We are looking for a go-getter with a passion to work in hotel sales! While experience is preferred, we are open to training an enthusiastic, hard-working, and professional-minded individual looking to start their career.

Job summary:

Maximize revenues and profits for La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Westchase, a newly renovated, limited-service hotel, by conducting direct sales and marketing efforts to area demand drivers (primarily corporate) and maintaining relationships with the brand sales team and local business organizations. Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Sourcing new business, qualifying leads and scheduling sales appointments
  • Ability to ask for business and close the sale
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients
  • Participating in industry related networking events, trade shows and sales blitzes
  • Maintain consistent and prompt communications via telephone, e-mail, and written correspondence to clients and management
  • Maintain documentation of daily sales activity
  • Meet budgeted revenue goals
  • Strong knowledge of the hotel sales process
  • Negotiate, prepare, and present contracts for new business and group sales
  • Knowledge of hotel operations.

Technical requirements include:

  • Ability to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Experience selling to a variety of market segments, specifically the corporate segment
  • Experience in a hotel of similar size and segment a plus
  • Knowledge of hotel sales system and computer software programs
  • Work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Personal insured vehicle and valid driver's license required (mileage will be reimbursed)
