Job Overview:

Accounts Payable - Responsible for processing invoices and processing payments to all vendors

General Cashier - Responsible for maintaining the main bank and providing currency exchange to all hotel cashiers. The General Cashier will audit all deposits, cashier banks and process due backs

Physical:

  • Able to remain stationary 90% of time in front of computer.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Periodical movement inside an office to access file cabinets & safe, operate machinery, operate calculator, operate copier, operate telephone.
  • Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 35 pounds
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands


Essential:


Frequent communication with employees, vendors, ownership, management; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures

  • Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per Standard of Operating Procedures

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience in finance
  • Multi-lingual
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling, and income audit
  • Good typing, math, problem solving, communication, and listening skills
  • Perform job duties and projects as requested by management.



Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely processing of all vendor invoices through Accounts Payable from purchase order controls to payment processing.
  • Prepare and process weekly AP from purchase order internal controls to payment processing.
  • Review monthly recurring invoices at end of each month, review purchase order log for accruals needed.
  • Audit Cashiers' Banks, randomly select one day per month to complete task.
  • Audit General Cashier Bank.
  • Obtain and count Returned Banks.
  • Pick Up and verify Daily Deposits.
  • Prepare Deposits.
  • Prepare Bank/Hotel change requests.
  • Prepare Due Backs.
  • Maintain Petty Cash.
  • Prepare Daily Summary.
  • Prepare Foreign Exchange Rates.
  • Monitor and Control Employee Deposit vaults.
  • Monitor Drop/Safe Procedures.
  • Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manger/Supervisor.
  • Responsible for all functions that fall under AP/General Cashier
