Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

The Agribusiness, Food and Hospitality Division is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager with primary coverage responsibilities in the Idaho and Pacific Northwest markets. Flexibility with location within the Idaho and Pacific Northwest markets.

The Relationship Manager 5 is a senior level relationship position focused on generating revenue, in addition to new business relationships and the management of a complex portfolio of middle market account relationships. Responsibilities include: meeting annual revenue goals by actively generating new business through prospecting and cross sell efforts; representing the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships with the most important/key clients; originating, structuring and executing the most complex commercial middle market transactions, including but not limited to, investment banking, treasury management products, commercial lending and/or non-credit related products. May provide coaching/mentoring in the development of more junior level relationship managers.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of account management experience, sales experience, or a combination of both

  • Account relationship management experience
  • Strong credit analysis skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of risk management
  • Experience consistently delivering strong sales performance
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Established network in the local market
  • Strong credit analysis skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of production agriculture, livestock, dairy industries, or agribusinesses
  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting: advanced commercial or specialty group credit

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Established network in the agribusiness and branded food industries.
  • Strong knowledge of specialized lending to agribusiness, processors and branded food companies.
  • Relevant experience funding through commodity cycles and structuring transformative capital investment and acquisitions in the ag industry.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
