Excellent opportunity for the right candidate to serve a broad range of guests including groups and organizations at an established restaurant in the heart of Southern Indiana, home of Indiana University.


Job Description

Seeking an experienced working chef with a willingness to exceed guests' expectations.

During your orientation period, you will be train with the Irish Lion's kitchen manager of 21-years.


  • Banquets & events.
  • Seasonal dishes, daily specials, menu planning.
  • Achieve restaurant operational objectives, enforce sanitation and safety standards, ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety and company policies.
  • Ensure overall food quality and handling. Attention to detail and maintaining guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food quality, initiating improvements, and delegating speedy & corrective action.
  • identifying and recommending changes to increase the performance of the overall kitchen.
  • Work with the FOH dining & event manager, as required, in preparation for events & banquets.


Qualifications

  • Passionate working-chef with progressive experience, solid work stability & responsibility in a full-service restaurant environment.
  • Flexible, open availability and a career mentality is a must.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment under demanding conditions alongside the line/station chefs.
  • Candidate should work well under pressure and demonstrate "from scratch" experience as a professional chef in a full-service restaurant.
  • Right candidate will be pro-active, "hands on" style, professional attitude and initiative, excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Professional attitude, pro-active with high energy, organized, attention to detail and successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Full time position. Must be available to work evenings and events.
  • Safe Serve Certification.
