The primary function of the Food Server is to provide professional, efficient and quality guest service through a thorough knowledge of food, beverage, and menu items offered and service techniques including suggestive selling.

Essential Job Tasks:

  • - Wait on customers using the established sequence of service set for the restaurant per Sheraton standards.
    - Restock and reset all supplies needed for each shift as specified in the individual station side work chart. Inventory pars are replenished by using the food requisition sheet, which is filled out on a daily basis.
    - Wait on customers using the established sequence of service set for the restaurant per Sheraton standards.
    - Consistently up sell and increase check average by suggesting drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts from current menus.
    - Maintain proper posting of each check and administer cashiering procedures to include direct bill room charges, credit cards and cash transactions using the POS system.
    - Serve alcohol responsibly applying TIPS training principals - no alcohol service to patrons visibly intoxicated or under the age of 21. Failure to comply with responsible service of alcohol may lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
    - Monitor your assigned station keeping it clean and organized. Set and clean all tables completely for the appropriate meal period.
    - Complete side work as scheduled for the day, including adherence to the weekly cleaning schedule for the restaurant.
    - Check with the Restaurant Manager and/or Supervisor before punching out, inquiring as to whether there might be anything further to accomplish.
    - Notify supervisor of any equipment repair/service needs by noting it in the restaurant log book.

Starting Pay: $9.30/hr + tips

•$500 sign on bonuus paid out at sucessful 90 days of employment*
