Position Summary: The Campground Host ensures campground users are knowledgeable of rules and regulations and assist with assignment and placement of RV's, campers, and tents in the appropriate campsite.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide courteous service and general park information to park visitors
  • Custodial duties and/or grounds keeping duties of various facilities
  • Daily inspections of restrooms for cleanliness and needed supplies and/or maintenance problems.
  • Assist campers with checking in and checking out in a timely manner.
  • Monitor for appropriate use of the facilities by visitors (i.e. Proper food storage, pets aren't left unattended or left off-leash, keeping quiet hours, too many people/vehicles in a site, etc.)
  • Report deficiencies, hazardous or unsafe conditions immediately to the appropriate department.
  • Maximize use of the campsites as to the appropriate sized vehicle for specific sites.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of campground operations preferred
  • Previous customer service and visitor information experience preferred
  • Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 20 lbs.
