Ultreia is a Spanish & Portuguese inspired tapas bar in Denver Union Station. We are intensely focused on sustainability, creative scratch cooking, and careful preparation. We strive to preserve and improve our food system at every opportunity through participation in the James Beard Smart Catch sustainable seafood program and collaborations with local farmers, ranchers and makers.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate leader to work together and provide our guests with an exceptional experience.
Work weeks are 5-day(s) per week. Days off may be split depending on circumstances or preference. Workdays are 9-10 hours per day minimum.
Food Quality and Consistency
Operate a verbal "fire" kitchen for up to 500 covers.
Keep tickets times within standard parameters.
Demonstrate skill at plating, visual presentation, and composition.
Recipe Repertoire and Menu Contribution
Develop recipes for menu placement.
Create and execute daily specials.
Bring new techniques and experiences to work.
Industry Trend Awareness
Research and evaluate competition.
Study new market trends and opportunities for recipe and technique development.
Facility and Equipment
Understand food kitchen equipment safety and routine maintenance.
Ensure proper tool handling and safety in the kitchen.
Discipline, Safety and Security Administration
Perform disciplinary tasks and procedures as needed.
Process Worker's Compensation claims as necessary.
Understand all safety standards and be able to effectively and concisely respond when procedures are compromised.
Participate in schedule creation.
Cost and set pricing for new menu items of their own creation.
Create sales projections and assist chef teams with purchase strategy and execution.
Continuously display a positive and supportive outlook toward the job, their peers, and their staff.
Provide leadership in moments of problem solving and not be afraid to "make the call".
Utilize all company resources to work through problem resolution.
Always operate professionally.
Maintain focus on self-development.
