What initially started out as taqueria operating under the Tacombi brand name has evolved into an omni-channel business with CPG & DTC business that share Mexican food and culture through our Tacombi and Vista Hermosa products. Tacombi is building out its DTC and CPG team with a talented group of foodies, salespeople, marketers and innovators with an entrepreneurial spirit to join us!

Tacombi is seeking a Sales Analyst to inform and support our sales team in driving our fast-growth brands in retail. The Sales analyst will pull customer data, track scorecard metrics/customer KPIs and perform analysis to provide insights to Sales team and Broker partner to shape customer conversations, strategy and tactical plans. This person will input sales/customer information into data systems and manage communications with our Sales team and Broker team. The right candidate is an experienced Sales Analyst comfortable working in a start-up environment. This individual is organized and knows how to build consensus and deliver results.

What you'll do

Support the Sales Team in the day-to-day business needs

  • Provide actionable insights to the sales team that can be used to execute at retail
  • Create plans in line with customer lead times and ensure trade and promotions are aligned
  • Execute demand planning for distributors based on historical promotional data to ensure proper inventory counts
  • Assist in the Planning Process - support sales and accounting on trade spend as well as analysis of promotions
  • Track key event execution and results
  • Track Retailer Out of Stocks (OOS), with emphasis on Whole Foods
  • Support merchandising efforts with information to reduce OOS
  • Analyze SPINS data to report performance
  • Maintain and analyze sales data from our business partners, including distributors, brokers, and key customers
  • Collect data and build reporting tools for CPG management

Track Sales/Retailer performance

  • Report on how sales are tracking against Budget and highlighting where risk exists
  • Report on how key retailers are tracking against KPIs identifying opportunities to strengthen our performance
  • Report on broker execution by providing analysis on monthly turnover reports, promotional drive periods, new item launches and new retailer launches.
  • Summarize existing reports to keep team aware of key trends

Manage the relationship with Retail

  • Build out weekly sales/retail priorities
  • Present priorities quarterly to the CPG Management (with assist from Sales Broker)
  • Create Sell Sheets during key drive periods and new item launches to enable Sales Team to secure more cases and displays
  • Perform periodic in store and virtual store walks focusing on our categories

You will be accountable for

  • Assisting in new Item presentation creation and execution of reset with key retailers (One World Sync & IX-ONE maintenance, RangeMe, etc)
  • Managing monthly promotions to ensure dollars are released as necessary
  • Performing periodic in store and virtual store walks focusing on our categories

What you'll bring to Tacombi

  • Proven track record as a seasoned Sales Analyst, with experience managing broker partnerships
  • Strong people skills with a proven track record of driving change, ability to influence, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives and bring teams to a consensus / alignment
  • Strong organization skills and analytical skills
  • Solid written and oral communication skills (e.g., clear and compelling "story", with accurate insights and a well thought out recommendation)
  • Excellent problem solving in both ambiguous and tactical situations and a bias for action (i.e., you ask "how can we?" vs. "can we?")
  • Experience managing cross functional teams with limited resources in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform in a dynamic environment and comfort working in ambiguity
  • Entrepreneurial and creative solution orientated mindset, with the ability to 'think like as an owner', be flexible

You have

  • 2-4 years relevant experience in sales analysis or transferable competencies
  • CPG experience strongly preferred with deep understanding of category management and how retailers operate
  • Bachelor's degree; Masters or MBA a plus
  • Certification in Project Management a plus
  • Experience in IBP (integrated business planning)
  • Experience with SPINS, IRI and/or Nielsen
